Ohio State football is among nine unbeaten teams in the US LBM Coaches Poll. It’ll be hoping to keep it that way as it heads to Eugene Saturday for a battle with another of those undefeated teams, No. 3 Oregon.
The Ducks haven’t been tested at this level yet this season, and they’ve had a few scares. Nonetheless, their offense is among the best in the country, and they’ll be ready for this primetime showdown.
Given it is expected to be among the most-viewed games in college football this season, it is only right that ESPN’s College Gameday makes its way to the Ducks campus.
However, that’ll be a good sign for the Buckeyes. Per Cleveland.com’s Stefan Krajisnik, the Buckeyes are 40-19 when playing at College Gameday sights.
Ohio State was 2-1 in that situation a season ago, taking down Notre Dame and Penn State yet falling short to Michigan.
While there’s no down Gameday may find its way to Beaver Stadium if Penn State is undefeated and then to Columbus for the Michigan game, this is going to be the Buckeyes’ first game of the season where Gameday is present.
Let’s hope their stellar record in these big games continues Saturday.
