For the second week in a row, the Ohio State basketball team will do battle on the hardwood the day before a pretty big football game. The Buckeyes welcome the Pitt Panthers to Value City Arena for a Big Ten–ACC matchup.
Pitt comes into the contest with a record of 6-1 on the season. The Panthers were undefeated before recently falling to Wisconsin in the Greenbriar Tipoff Classic in White Sulpher Springs, WV. Pitt led the game at halftime but would come up short 81-75.
The Panthers and Buckeyes have played only one other time in their history. In December of 2002, Pitt bested OSU with a 20-point victory. Ohio State will look to even out the series on Friday.
