Ohio State basketball makes top-6 for former NBA star’s son

The recruitment for Kiyan Anthony, son of former Syracuse and NBA great Carmelo, has been favorable for Ohio State basketball.

The 6-foot, 5-inch, 185-pound player has expressed interest in visiting Columbus to check out the program. Now, the nation’s No. 31 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings has trimmed his list down to six schools.

Along with Ohio State, Anthony still is considering Syracuse, Auburn, Florida State, USC and Rutgers. You have to believe that his father’s alma mater, the Orangemen, is the team to beat due to familiarity with the program. Yes, his father’s head coach Jim Boeheim has retired, but that may not matter.

The younger Anthony could blaze his own path in college, as he would be a great fit in Scarlet and Gray.
