Ohio ‘house of horrors’ family was investigated before

  • Four Ohio family members face child endangerment charges after 16 children were rescued from a squalid home in Vinton County.
  • Officials reported that the children were kept in horrific conditions with high levels of human feces, leaving some unable to speak.
  • Records reveal that local child services previously investigated the family in 2020 over severe educational and medical neglect before closing the case in 2021.
  • All 16 children have been removed from the home, evaluated at a local hospital, and placed into state custody.
  • Gary Siders Jr. and Elizabeth Siders also face separate charges of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
