Photos and videos that spread on social media have apparently led to disciplinary action for at least two students at a Florida high school. The images showed the students holding up a Black doll during a girls’ volleyball contest. The game was said to be between Andrew Jackson High School and Fernandina Beach High School.
According to Atlanta Black Star, Andrew Jackson High School is almost 90 percent Black. Fernandina Beach High School is predominantly white, according to information cited from U.S. News & World Report. A parent who went to the match to see her daughter play later spoke with Action News Jax in Jacksonville.
