There has been plenty of talk about Kerala Blasters' foreign triumvirate of Adrian Luna, Alvaro Vazquez and Jorge Pereyra Diaz this season. But it was another import that they let go, Bartholomew Ogbeche, who grabbed the headlines on Wednesday as he scored in Hyderabad FC's 2-1 win over Ivan Vukomanovic's side at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim, Goa and ensured his team a place in the semifinals.
Ogbeche, who netted 15 times for Blasters during the 2019-20 season, opened the scoring for Indian Super League (ISL) leaders Hyderabad in the 28th minute for his 17th goal of the campaign before Javier Siverio doubled their advantage three minutes from time. Though Vincy Barretto pulled one back for Blasters in the additional time, it did not stop the Nizams from booking the semifinal berth.
