Officers are investigating reports of an assault after a woman was attacked. At around 3am on Sunday, July 2, a woman was reportedly attacked on a path near the Blue Lake in Balderton by a man.
He is described as wearing a distinctive ring with a gold pryamid on it, and was wearing a green jacket at the time. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the police on 101 and quote incident 109 of July 2, 2023.
PC Lydia Day, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are currently investigating reports of an assault on a woman, which happened near the Blue Lake, Balderton. The victim suffered facial injuries after being physically assaulted as she walked along the Sustrans at around 3am on Sunday (2 July).
“A man wearing a green jacket was described as carrying out the assault. They were also reportedly wearing a distinctive looking ring with a gold pyramid on it on their finger at the time."
She continued: "We would ask that anyone who has any information about this incident gets in contact with the police on 101, quoting incident 109 of 2 July 2023. As part of our inquiries, we will be carrying out patrols of the area to provide reassurance to the public.
