Officers cordon off skate park in Clifton following 'suspicious activity'

Officers have cordoned off a Nottingham skate park after reports of suspicious activity. Nottinghamshire Police were searching an area of Farnborough Road, Clifton, as part of an ongoing incident on Sunday, June 25.

The force received reports of suspicious activity at around 1:30pm, and sent officers to the scene. It is still not clear what suspicious activity took place.

The skate park will remain cordoned off whilst officers continue their search. The force do not believe that there is a risk to the wider public, and have no reports on injuries.

Chief Inspector Amy Styles-Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Police are currently searching an area of Farnborough Road, Clifton, as part of an ongoing incident. Officers were called to the scene at around 1.30pm today (25 June) following reports of suspicious activity.

“Members of the public are being advised that an area of the skate park off Farnborough Road remains cordoned off while officers complete their search. There have been no reports of any injuries and we do not currently believe there to be any risk to the wider public.

“Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 394 of 26 June 2023, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
