An Illinois State University police officer had a narrow escape after a storm brought down glass and debris just inches from where he was stood.
Air Force veteran Noah Walker was sheltering from wind and rain which hit the Bloomington-Normal campus on Thursday (13 August) when part of a building came loose and crashed to the ground.
In a video posted on social media titled ‘grateful to be alive’, another person could be seen moving suitcases away from the spot where the debris fell just seconds before.
Winds of up to 60 mph toppled trees across campus and flooded several buildings.
