Office workers have shared their verdict on their favourite accents in the workplace - ranging from the most calming to the best for delivering bad news. Workers from different regions were surveyed to look at how different accents are perceived.
The Republic of Ireland accent topped the vote for the most calming within the workplace. Geordie was said to be the most motivating among those who had a view on this - followed closely by a Yorkshire accent. However just over a third believed no accent in particular was more motivating than others in work.
A third also do not believe any accent in particular to be the most encouraging. The Yorkshire accent ranked second in the survey by outsourced communications provider Moneypenny.
