Offaly take on Antrim this weekend in the relegation clash of the National Hurling League division one.
Both sides have endured disastrous seasons to this point. Neither side have picked up a single point this term, with both teams suffering five defeats from their first five games.
Offaly suffered a humiliating defeat to reigning All Ireland champions Limerick last time out, something which is sure to have damaged the sides confidence. Antrim didn't fare much better however, as they were beating comprehensively by Tipperary.
And with championship just around the corner, both counties will be desperate to stave off the ignominy of relegation before summer hurling gets underway.

Speaking before last weeks dead rubber with Tipperary, Antrim boss Darren Gleeson said: “It’s far from ideal, We will be out six or seven days later in a very important match. You focus on every game you go out to play and you want to perform but our eyes will be on the following weekend unfortunately.
“We have been operating with the same 22 players for the four games we have played to date and have been competitive with them.
We’ll have to weigh up our options and see what is best for them and whether there are guys that need a bit of game time, and players that didn’t perform as well as we expected against Laois and do they need more time for the confidence to come back ahead of the relegation game. It’s a bit of a balancing act for us.”
