LUCKNOW: For most cricketers who are currently in the city for IPL matches beginning April 1, shuttling between hotel and stadium by bus is quite a tedious and monotonous task, but not for the fielding great, Jonty Rhodes.
Having his own plans, the cricketing great has dumped the bus to zip around on Lucknow roads on a green Royal Enfield 350.
Wearing goggles and helmet, he barely manages to go incognito, intermittently recognized and cheered by fans.
Jonty’s passion for bikes is no secret and Royal Enfield 350 and Hunter 350 have been his favourite.
On March 23, Jonty posted his picture with the bike on Twitter, saying: “Since my first #IPL, I have always been a massive fan of the @royalenfield #classic, just ask @sidlal (Siddhartha Lal, CEO of Royal Enfield), he has the picture to prove it! However, rode the #Hunter350 back from practice at #EkanaStadium last night, and today, am torn between the 2 #MakeInIndia #2wheelerlove (sic).”
Earlier too, he has been spotted biking and has done a lot of road trips in various cities, including Mumbai and Jaipur.
