Manchester United fans were envious after watching former transfer target Cody Gakpo open the scoring in their side's match against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Netherlands international was said to be on United boss Erik ten Hag's radar but Liverpool swooped in and sealed a deal in January.
Gakpo took his time to settle into life at Anfield but after goals against Everton and Newcastle United, his Reds career really has taken off this afternoon.

After breaking the deadlock in the 43rd minute with an expertly taken finish, the 23-year-old scored an even better goal to make it 3-0 to the Reds after Darwin Nunez doubled the advantage. Mohamed Salah then added a fourth goal before Nunez headed in again to make it 5-0.
And one United fan in particular was made to eat his words after criticising Gakpo following his move to Liverpool:

A Manchester City fan even got involved, ridiculing United over the failure to sign Gakpo ahead of Liverpool.
Incredibly, the scoring didn't stop there. Salah netted to his second to make it 6-0, in turn becoming the club's all-time leading Premier League goalscorer, before Roberto Firmino struck to take the score up to 7-0.
