Odell Beckham Jr has already squashed beef with a former rival and now Baltimore Ravens team-mate after signing with the team.
The 30-year-old star wide receiver was snapped up in a surprising $18million (£14.5m), one-year deal as he returns from the torn ACL he suffered in Super Bowl LVI.
Beckham Jr will hope to be joined by Lamar Jackson, who is yet to work out his future, whether it be with or away from the team after handing in his recent trade request. He is no stranger to the division, after spending two seasons with the Cleveland Browns before being granted his release in 2021 after falling out with the front office.
While a member of the Browns, Beckham lined up against the Ravens three times, having some notable battles against their defensive backs.
Most notably, Beckham Jr and Marlon Humphrey went head-to-head in a number of fiery battles, with the defensive back arguably getting the better of him.
In one incident, the two had an altercation during a 2019 game when Humphrey appeared to have his hands around Beckham Jr's neck away from the play - leading to the two men resenting one another.
And now with them set to go at it as teammates in practice, Beckham has stated that he has already reached out to the star cornerback.
Beckham said: "I’m going to have to give him a few headbutts and we’re going to have to hug it out. We’re on the same team and our goal, I know that for sure, is going to sharpen each other each and every day.
"I think we’re both excited about this opportunity. At the end of the day, I don’t have beef with anybody. I don’t have any bad blood or nothing like that. Life is way too short for that."
Beckham will also be boosted by the arrival of new offensive playcaller Todd Monken. The experienced coach joins off the back of winning two National Championship's with Georgia, and has previous with Beckham after working with him during his first season with Browns in 2019.
That was Beckham's last 1,000-yard season, a feat he'll be hoping to eclipse once again after being given the big contract by the Ravens.
