The Baltimore Ravens had a goal as a team to win the Super Bowl during the 2023 season. However, that goal will never be realized after their rough AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, ruining the plans that they worked so hard to create.
“I mean, I think it’s disappointing for everybody. When you have a player like Lamar [Jackson], who, 30 years from now, we’ll speak Lamar Jackson’s name, and everyone is going to know and remember. There are certain moments that define you – defying moments – in your career, and this is just one that will be in his career. The greats have all been through tough times, and I don’t think this is going to stop him from wanting to get to ultimate goal. I think, if anything, he’s going to work even harder. He wants it bad. I had never seen somebody so locked in and just in their flow and in their era, and I just felt like it was his time. And like I say, sometimes things happen in life, and it doesn’t go the way that we plan. It’s just about, what do you do from here?”
After the game, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. shared insight into quarterback Lamar Jackson and what he thinks of the star quarterback he was able to share the field with in 2023. He said that it’s disappointing for everybody that the team was unable to finish the job, but Jackson wants his ultimate goal “bad”, and Beckham believes he’ll work even harder now to achieve it.
