A bookmaker has updated the odds of a White Christmas in the UK this year to 1-2.
It comes after the country experienced an abnormal period of cold weather for this time of year, with temperatures reaching well below sub-zero in many areas. Now, Coral suggests there is a 66.66 per cent chance of snow happening on a festive day.
The firm's John Hill noted that many parts of the country have already seen snow and that "our betting suggests it won't be the last of it". He added: "We make it odds-on for this year to be a White Christmas, with a 66.66% chance of snow falling on the big day."
