From what we’ve seen so far, there’s a lot to like about the upcoming WWE 2K26. The Showcase matches look great, and early impressions of MyGM are also quite strong. However, the entrance reveals for most of the roster so far have been quite hit and miss.
Chelsea Green and Jey Uso’s entrances looked great, but we can’t say the same for Joe Hendry and Jade Cargill. Hendry’s face model and expressions look dissimilar to his actual real-life appearance, while Jade Cargill’s ring gear is outdated.
The same problem persists with Oba Femi. His hairstyle is outdated, the strut is wrong, and his poses look out of place. Oba Femi himself has addressed the issue when talking with No-Contest Wrestling, where he said the following:
“Here’s the thing – there is a version of Oba Femi when I first started, when they did the initial motion capture for that, I did walk like that, and I did have my hair up. So that is a version of Oba Femi… Don’t worry, there’s updates coming. There are definitely updates coming. Fans, you’ll get the original strut with the hair down – I promise.”
WWE 2K26 Is Aiming Big
We’ve already heard from WWE 2K26 developers like Bryan Williams that 2K26 will get continuous updates that address even the tiniest issues like the one we’ve seen with Oba Femi. These types of tiny issues are bound to happen when an annual release like this aims for so many ambitious improvements.
For example, not only are we getting better presentations this time around, but all the modes are getting a significant overhaul. We also have the biggest roster ever, with over 400 superstars, including a few from Lucha Libre AAA.
WWE 2K26 will release on March 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. If you buy the King of Kings, Attitude Era, or Monday Night War Edition, you’ll get seven days of early access, starting on March 6.
Each of these editions comes with its own perks, and the Monday Night War is the most expensive option out of all four ($150!).
