“START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!!” Oasis have declared, as they confirm they will be back on the road for another mammoth tour in 2027.
“After a period of reflection ‘the most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history” has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people.
“Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.”
The Manchester rock legends teased the announcement last week with a spectacular drone display in Manchester, with the band’s logo showing up in lights along with the date 14/09/26 and the time 4pm BST.
Oasis have also been dropping hints about potential tour venues over the past few weeks on their social media channels, including the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, Celtic Park in Glasgow, and Knebworth in Hertfordshire.
Even before the band’s 2025 reunion concerts had concluded, fans and the media were speculating that once-warring brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher would be back on stage together again in the near future, such was the success of last year’s tour.
The announcement comes a week after Noel and Liam attended the UK premiere of the documentary film Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger from Steven Knight and co-directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, showing behind-the-scenes footage and concert clips from the 2025 reunion.
Tickets to the Oasis Live ‘25 shows sold out within minutes of going on sale, with the tour estimated by Forbes to have generated over $400m (£293m) in revenue, and Noel and Liam each pocketing between $50m-$100m. As a result, the pair cracked the Sunday Times Rich List this year with a combined net worth of $375m.

How Liam and Noel reflected on their feud
13:17 , Roisin O'Connor
We all saw them trading insults in the press and on social media (Liam comparing Noel to a potato is the stuff of legend, while Noel famously described Liam as “the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”), but how did they feel about the moment Oasis broke up?
“It didn’t sit right with me,” Noel says in new Oasis documentary Don’t Look Back in Anger, even while describing Liam as a “f***ing pain in the arse”.
Liam refers to the row that brought everything crashing down in 2009 as “a little argument” – Noel has said previously that Liam came into his dressing room wielding a guitar “like an axe” and nearly took his face off with it. Potato, potato.
Don’t Look Back in Anger does what its title suggests, and skirts around the gory details of the brothers’ animosity. Instead, we hear Noel confess that he was born with “one fatal flaw – I can’t forgive people”.
He and Liam also agree that after the split, “everything felt f***ing weird”; Noel saw the world become “a s*** f***ing place – people want escape”. And that’s what the reunion was going to give them.
How Noel Gallagher felt about the 2025 Oasis reunion
13:01 , Roisin O'Connor
Noel has a reputation as a grouch – Don’t Look Back in Anger does a lot to dispel that. For the first 40 minutes onstage in Cardiff he’s fighting back tears, overwhelmed by the reaction from the 80,000-strong crowd. “I wasn’t prepared for the intense outpouring… the sense of what it meant to people,” he says. He sees fathers with their sons in the crowd and has to fight not to bawl, seeing how the band’s music has been passed on to younger generations.

How Noel and Liam Gallagher's relationship is today
12:31 , Roisin O'Connor
One of my favourite revelations from the new Oasis documentary, Don’t Look Back in Anger, is what Noel and Liam’s relationship is like today - in Noel’s view, it’s better than it’s ever been.
In the documentary, Noel says there are “two Liams” – the serious guy he saw in rehearsals, and the one onstage balancing a tambourine on his head and making it look cool: “If I did that, I’d look like an utter c***.”
Halfway through the documentary we finally see them sitting next to one another in the present day: Liam makes Noel howl with laughter as he talks about the genius behind their habit of barely moving in live shows. “Imagine Mick Jagger… if there’s one night where he’s just like, ‘Ah I can’t be f***ed,’ but he’s got to,” Liam explains. “Us standing still onstage… genius.”
Noel says he feels like patching things up “fixed the narrative” of the band. They text one another regularly – “we never did that before” – and send each other silly videos. The Oasis story is no longer about the anger between brothers. As Noel puts it: “Now it's about forgiveness.”

“Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds.” - Liam Gallagher
09:05 , Roisin O'Connor
Liam Gallagher is clearly as impatient as any other Oasis fan, as he made clear when he urged big brother Noel to “announce the tour” last month in a post on X.
By now, a new tour might seem less of a surprise than those long-awaited 2025 shows. The rock band made history when brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher put an end to their years-long feud and reunited onstage for the first time in almost 16 years to play a record-breaking world tour, including a series of homecoming shows in Manchester.
Even before the 2025 tour concluded, fans predicted that Oasis would be keen to get back out on the road again, given the run of shows were a defining cultural event – as well as a very lucrative one. Oasis Live ‘25 was estimated by Forbes to have generated over $400m (£293m) in revenue, with Noel and Liam each pocketing between $50m-$100m. As a result, the pair cracked the Sunday Times Rich List this year with a combined net worth of $375m.
A new Oasis reunion? Liam Gallagher tells Noel ‘announce the tour’
Oasis poised to make huge announcement at 4pm today
08:50 , Roisin O'Connor
If they do a Spice Girls and this turns out to be a “complete boxset of their albums”, fans are going to be livid. But it’s looking pretty likely that the Oasis announcement at 4pm today will indeed be a tour announcement (whether we’re getting any new music remains to be seen).
It comes just over two years since Noel and Liam Gallagher first confirmed that they had ended their long-running feud 15 years since Oasis split in 2009. What followed was the 2025 reunion tour - one of the most talked-about and in-demand run of shows of all time, kicking off in Cardiff on 4 July 2025 and ending on 23 November at Estadio do Morumbi in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
