A Bristol school student was approached by two youths with a 'weapon' this afternoon (March 23). The Oasis Academy Brislington issued a warning to parents following the reported incident at 4pm (March 23).
According to the school, a pupil was walking near Knowle Golf Club when they were approached by the unknown youths. Avon and Somerset Police has been informed and launched an investigation.
A police helicopter was seen and heard in the skies above South Bristol this afternoon. It is unknown whether it was connected with the reported school incident.

In a letter to parents, Oasis Academy Brislington urged them to be mindful of their children who walk past the golf club on their way to and from the school. It said the safety of students is 'paramount'.
Oasis Academy Brislington said: "Dear families, at 4pm today, on the lane that runs adjacent to the golf course (Stockwood open space) one of our young people was the victim of an incident where they were approached by two youths, one of whom was carrying a weapon.
"The Police were informed immediately and are carrying out further investigations. The safety of our students is paramount to us, please consider this information if you child uses this as a route to or from the Academy."
