An OAP who shops at Morrisons was horrified after she was hit with a hefty fine for 'spending too long in the supermarket'. The 80-year-old, who is also disabled, had visited the Morrisons at Morfa Shopping Park in Wales on January 19, 2023, when she was given the parking fine.
Ann Tawe-Jones says she had parked in the Morrisons car park for two hours and six minutes, before returning to her car and going home. The old age pensioner, who uses a walking stick, says she lives alone and went to the supermarket to enjoy the warmth of the company.
But due to her mobility problems, Ann took longer to shop than most people, and was upset to receive the parking fine. In the past two years, she said she'd received two parking fines from Euro Car Parks, which manages the Morfa and Neath Morrisons car parks.
