O2 Priority crashes as Beyoncé Edinburgh tickets go on presale

Thousands of Beyoncé fans were ready to secure tickets this morning for her gig at Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield Stadium - however, the sheer demand has caused the O2 Priority app to crash.

The first of four presales began this morning for the Single Ladies singer's world tour, as she heads to Edinburgh in May this year. However, as the sale began at 10am this morning (February 2), the demand was so high that the O2 Priority app has stopped working.

The O2 Priority presale was the only early bird ticket sale happening today, and the thousands of fans aiming for tickets have been left disappointed.

Heart Scotland tweeted earlier: "The O2 Priority app’s crashed as tens of thousands of Beyoncé fans try to get presale tickets. #HeartNews."

Fans flocked to social media to share their exasperation at the high volume of demand for tickets, as one Twitter user wrote: "60K people on front of me for the Edinburgh Beyoncé date when I joined the queue…I have no chance."

Another said: "Ticketmaster is the only way to get Beyoncé ticket as O2 priority has crashed!"

And a third wrote: "20,000 people in the queue for Beyoncé tickets…are you people not at work???"

More comments read: "HOW ARE PEOPLE GETTING BEYONCÉ TICKETS?"

One added: "@o2 I have not felt like a priority today."

Others wrote: "If I don’t get these Beyoncé tickets I’m never trying to get a ticket for a big concert again. My emotions actually CANNOT take it. I can already feel a migraine coming on."

And one concluded: "Me still in the Beyoncé queue with 190k people ahead of me naively thinking I’ll still get tickets..."

At the time of writing, there are currently 54,000 people in the Ticketmaster O2 Priority queue waiting for tickets.

Tickets are still available via the Ticketmaster link, and it is unclear when the O2 Priority app will launch back up again.
