NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information Tarik Sheppard stated on Monday that there have been no credible threats to any specific group or individual arising from the ongoing anti-Israel protests at Columbia University. This assurance comes amidst escalating demonstrations at the university.
Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry further elaborated that the local bureau commander has maintained close communication with the university administration. The only request for NYPD assistance from the school has been to patrol the outer perimeter of the campus.
