NY Sugar Moderately Higher on Strength in Crude Oil and Brazilan Real

July NY world sugar #11 (SBN23) on Thursday closed up +0.16 (+0.62%), and Aug London white sugar #5 (SWQ23) closed down -2.10 (-0.31%).

Sugar prices Thursday settled mixed, with NY sugar posting a 1-month high.  Sugar found support Thursday on strength in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL), which climbed to a 1-year high against the dollar.  The stronger the real discourages export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
