NY Sugar Gains on Strength in the Brazilian Real

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH24) on Thursday closed +0.04 (+0.15%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH24) closed -0.90 (-0.12%).

Sugar prices Thursday settled mixed.  NY sugar found support on strength in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL), which rallied to a 3-1/2 month high Wednesday.  The stronger real discourages export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
