NY Cocoa Prices Sink on Possible US Tariff Reductions

December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ25) on Wednesday closed down -204 (-3.50%), and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ25) closed up +17 (+0.41%).

Cocoa prices settled mixed on Wednesday, with NY cocoa falling sharply to a 1.75-year nearest-futures low. Signs of possible tariff cuts weighed on cocoa prices after US Treasury Secretary Bessent said Wednesday that there would be "substantial announcements over the next couple of days" on tariffs on crops not grown in the US, including cocoa.
