City music venue NX Newcastle is promising a night to remember when Glasgow-based DJ Denis Sulta kicks off the Easter bank holiday weekend there this April.
The electronic music star and producer of house and dance music - real name Hector Barbour - will be getting the party in the city started on April 6, the day before Good Friday. And the club, the former 02 Academy in Westgate Road, adds: "We can’t wait to welcome him to NX."
It says Sulta is known for his "infectious selections and exultant energy behind the decks", having crafted a unique sound following his experience at Glasgow's renowned Rubadub record store and famous Sub Club as well as releasing records on a range of labels including his own Sulta Selects. His Sulta Selects shows have now taken place across the globe and recent news includes work on a new eight-track EP with independent label Ninja Tune which is set to feature some of his most raw and personal music to date.

Sulta will be joined at the 18-plus event, which will run from 8pm until 2am, by special guest DJs Heléna Star; Aletha; Boo and Annie Marron, presented by Newcastle Ghetec, and the club adds: "This night promises to be one to remember." For tickets see here.
