Nvidia has officially unveiled the RTX 4060 family of graphics cards, with the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti set to be available very soon.
Nvidia has confirmed that the RTX 4060, RTX 4060 Ti (8GB) and RTX 4060 Ti (16GB) will be launching over the next few months, with these graphics cards continuing to run on the Ada Lovelace architecture, and both will include DLSS 3 and third-gen ray-tracing technology. Nvidia claims that the 4060 Ti is on average between 2.6x faster than the RTX 2060 Super and 1.7x faster than the 3060 Ti GPU, with both an 8GB and 16GB version of the card to be launched.
It also claims that these cards boast twice the horsepower of the latest gaming consoles, including the Xbox Series X and PS5. Here's everything we know about the new Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti – release date
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB GPU was released today Wednesday, May 24. There's a Founder's Edition of the card available, alongside third-party versions from companies including Asus, Colorful, Gainward, Galax, Gigabyte, Inno3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.
No confirmed release date has been given for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GPU, but we do know that it will be released sometime in July.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti – price
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB GPU is currently available for £389 / $399, which roughly converts to AU$747, with the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GPU being priced at $499, but local pricing (UK, AUS) is yet to be confirmed.
To put this price into perspective, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which was the previous generation, was also priced at £399 / $399 when it was released back in December 2020. We'll have to wait until we review it to be sure, but it looks to be a decent value, considering the specs.
