Nuno Tavares recall amid swap deal proposal as eight deals officially end - Arsenal loan latest

Just six members of this season's Arsenal loan army remain following the conclusion of the leagues across Europe.

As it was the final day of the Premier League campaign at the weekend, it means Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Cedric Soares' deals with Southampton, Crystal Palace and Fulham respectively have come to an end with none of the trio making a farewell appearance.

Meanwhile, Marcelo Flores' rather frustrating spell with Real Oviedo has finished, as is Alex Kirk's with Ayr United and there was Championship play-off final heartache for Brooke Norton-Cuffy at Wembley Stadium as Coventry City were beaten by Luton Town on penalties.

Furthermore, Ryan Alebiosu's time with Kilmarnock is now over following the final round of fixtures in the Scottish Premier League, although he didn't feature in the 3-1 win over Ross County, and the same applies to Mika Biereth after RKC Waalwijk rounded off their Eredivisie campaign with a forgettable 4-0 loss against SC Cambuur.

Having said that, Nicolas Pepe may have already played his final game for Nice. Currently sidelined with a knee injury that has seen him sit out the last seven matches in a row, with the Ligue 1 season wrapping up this weekend, it seems unlikely that the winger will feature against Lyon.

Although Pablo Mari - whose permanent transfer should soon be made official - is still technically an Arsenal loanee and he featured in Monza's 1-0 home defeat by Lecce whilst Arthur Okonkwo had a Sunday afternoon to forget as Sturm Graz were beaten by Rapid Vienna and Ovie Ejeheri saved a penalty as SJK beat KuPS.

Over in France, Folarin Balogun requires a mini miracle if he's to claim the top goalscorer prize after drawing a blank as Reims were comfortably beaten by Lyon. The striker, who is being tipped to leave Arsenal this summer, now trails Kylian Mbappe by eight but in truth netting 20 goals is a respectable amount.

Elsewhere, Nuno Tavares earned a recall to the Marseille matchday squad after being left out completely the weekend prior. The left-back, who could potentially be used in a swap deal for West Ham United's Declan Rice in the summer transfer window, was a second half substitute for Igor Tudor's side in a 2-1 defeat a home to Brest.
