Numbers suggest star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is well-positioned to win MVP this season

Even on some of the worst teams in the NBA, you can usually find some fans who will vocally chant “M-V-P” for a player or two on their roster when the ball club starts heating up on the court. But an actual case for the season’s Most Valuable Player award is seldom very solid simply due to a mixture of more talented competition and fan-tinted lenses.

But what about this season for superstar Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum? Does the data from the season so far support a case for the St. Louis native to take home the most coveted hardware come spring?

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear his take.
