Nuwakot (Nepal) (AFP) – Nepal’s disaster authority sharply raised the number of missing to 1,924 on Friday, including 517 foreigners, two days after devastating floods that killed at least 586 in the country. A further 558 people are also reported missing in Tibet, where Chinese officials say at least five people have died.
The number of people missing in Nepal and China surpassed 2,400 Friday, underscoring the scale of the disaster days after a tsunami-like wall of water and debris swept away villages and killed hundreds.
