Nukes and carbon capture remain off future energy plan

Removing all emissions from Australia's electricity sector could cost too much, a report warns, but investing in renewable technologies will move the nation close to its net-zero goal.

Wind and solar technologies will be the cheapest ways to generate energy, it found, while small and large nuclear plants and coal and gas backed by carbon capture remain the most unaffordable solutions.
