The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair, Jennifer Homendy, has announced that the agency is currently supporting the US Coast Guard in their ongoing search and rescue efforts. Homendy stated that the NTSB is stepping back to allow the Coast Guard to focus on their operations while the NTSB gathers crucial information from the command post.
During a recent briefing, Homendy emphasized the importance of collecting as much information as possible to aid in the investigation. She mentioned that there is a significant amount of data that the NTSB is working to gather to better understand the situation.
