Bosses at the National Television Awards 2022 are in crisis talks over the awards ceremony, which was due to take place later this month, but has been thrown into doubt by the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The UK has entered a national period of mourning stretching over 17 days, after the monarch’s death at the age of 96 on Thursday.
The National Television Awards was due to be held at the OVO Arena in Wembley on September 15, with comedian and presenter Joel Dommett returning to host the annual celebration of TV talent, which will be broadcast live on ITV.
