NT Police charge woman with murder following death of 26-year-old man in Palmerston on Thursday

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 26-year-old man in Palmerston, outside Darwin, on Thursday night.

NT Police officers were called to Priest Circuit in the suburb of Gray at about 8pm on Thursday after receiving reports a man had been assaulted with a knife.

Police and St John Ambulance provided first aid, however the man died at the scene, police said.

On Friday morning, authorities said the death was under investigation. 

"A 36-year-old woman, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and is expected to be charged by detectives from Major Crime later today," police said.

"Investigations into this incident are ongoing," Detective Superintendent Jak Evans added.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact police."

This morning, police said they had charged the woman with murder overnight.

She has been remanded to appear in the Darwin Local Court on Monday, police said.
