The Sydney Roosters have strengthened their grip on a second consecutive NRLW minor premiership by enacting a modicum of grand-final revenge in a 34-20 victory against Brisbane.
In a stirring rematch of last year's decider, which the Broncos triumphed in, it was the Roosters' sparkling attack that proved the difference at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.
However, the game was overshadowed by a controversial bunker decision to award Roosters winger Brydie Parker a try despite her teammate Jess Sergis pushing Broncos centre Deleni Paitai in the back in the lead-up to the 35th-minute score.
The Tricolours proceeded to add another three unanswered four-pointers to their tally while prop Brianna Clark was sent to the sin bin for a dangerous tackle.
Although Ali Brigginshaw's stand-in Georgia Bartlett closed the deficit in the 56th minute, Parker brought up her hat-trick, and Sergis crossed again to keep the Roosters (7-0) undefeated.
