South Sydney have handed Brisbane their second loss of the season with an impressive performance at Lang Park.
The Rabbitohs scored 26 unanswered points as they ran out 32-6 winners, with centre Campbell Graham crossing for a hat-trick of tries.
Graham and Brisbane's Jesse Arthars traded tries in the opening 10 minutes, and tempers flared at times in the first half, particularly between former Souths teammates Adam Reynolds and Latrell Mitchell.
After Graham scored his second shortly before half-time to give the visitors a 12-6 lead at the break, Mitchell opened the second-half scoring straight after play resumed when Herbie Farnworth dropped a cross-field kick and the Rabbitohs fullback was there to pick up the crumbs.
Farnworth's night only got worse a couple of minutes later when the bunker identified an attempted trip on Graham and sent the Englishman to the sin bin.
While he was in the sheds, Graham scored his third of the night, and Cody Walker crossed shortly after Farnworth returned to the fray.
Mitchell scored his second try in the 68th minute and converted from the sideline to complete a 16-point night.
Arthars said missing star prop Payne Haas and five-eighth Ezra Mam left the Broncos short, but they should not use it as an excuse.
"Everyone knows the capabilities of Payne and Ezra; they're two key players in our team, so obviously we missed them tonight but we're not looking for excuses," he said.
"We've got a lot of other people in our squad that we can get to do a job and obviously tonight we were just not good enough."
Ponga back in the starting line-up, but Knights still not up to scratch
Parramatta has ruined Kalyn Ponga's return to Newcastle's starting line-up, with Clint Gutherson running in three tries and Mitchell Moses running riot in a 43-12 demolition at Western Sydney Stadium.
Moses finished with 19 points thanks to a try, a perfect seven-from-seven night on conversions, and a field goal in the final seconds.
He and the Eels directed a lot of traffic at Ponga, who was back in the starting side after playing off the bench in his first game since round two last week.
The Knights' five-eighth could not influence the match against an Eels side that opened the scoring through Dylan Brown in the second minute and did not look back.
Despite scoring seven tries to two, Gutherson said the Eels got carried away and left points on the table.
"We bombed a lot of tries out there, probably saw too much and sometimes when you see too much you sort of start to try and score off everything and I think that's what happened in the second," he told ABC Sport.
"Even in the first half we probably bombed three tries there from not being in the right position. We still put a bit of a score on them, but against the better teams you've got to take every opportunity."
