GURUGRAM: Keeping up with the pace of digitalisation, the Haryana government has made the Right to Information services online. Now, those who are seeking any information under the Right to Information Act can easily obtain it online by simply registering themselves in the RTI portal at rtiharyana.gov.in.
Deputy commissioner Yash Garg said that now it has become easier for people in the state to get information under RTI. In addition to this, the introduction of online RTI services would also reduce the movement of people in government offices and information will be made available to the people in a timely manner.
“With the help of technology, the government has been providing direct services to people for which many portals, websites and software has been developed. To bring in transparency in government offices, e-office working system was implemented across the state. Through this system, it has also become easy to evaluate the functioning of the officers and employees in the departments,” said Garg. Adding that now the RTI has also been linked to paperless facility, which would help in curbing the paper consumption and move toward protecting the environment.
