Now, only mantris to make presentations in cabinet meets, says Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath

LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that senior ministers of respective departments will have to make presentations in the cabinet meeting. Senior officials of the department will provide data and information besides assisting in preparing the presentation.

The CM had summoned the heads of various government departments, institutions, and corporations for a review meeting and directed them to conduct surprise inspections to check punctuality of staff, cleanliness in offices, and pending applications.

Yogi had called the meeting to review the Covid-19 situation in the state and examine the status of vaccination of children and the ones eligible for precautionary dose.

The CM had also called deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, who holds the health portfolio, minister of state for health Mayankeshwar Singh, minister of state (independent charge) basic education Sandeep Singh and minister of state (independent charge) secondary education Gulab Devi and asked the core group to expedite vaccination of children so that they go back to schools soon.

Yogi said in front of his ministerial colleagues the minister-in-charge of the department will have to make a presentation during the cabinet meeting.
