Ibrahima Konate insists he welcomes the pressure of defending for Liverpool as he expressed delight at the latest step in his comeback from injury.
Konate was outstanding at the heart of defence as the Reds earned an impressive 2-1 Premier League win at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The 23-year-old France international was making his first top-flight start of a campaign severely hampered by a knee injury suffered during pre-season.

And after helping Liverpool end a near six-month wait for an away Premier League triumph, Konate said: "I'm very, very happy. I was injured for two months, a little bit more, and now I am back. I am happy because we have won. We have to keep going like that and work again because the season is long.
"We played against a very good team in Spurs. They missed a lot of chances but we had chances as well through Darwin (Nunez) and Mo (Salah). But the most important thing is we won 2-1."
Liverpool were in control at the break through Mohamed Salah's double but had to withstand a barrage from Tottenham in the second half, particularly after Harry Kane pulled a goal back with 20 minutes remaining.
But Konate, speaking to LFC TV, said: "I like the pressure. But I'm not alone on the pitch, there are 11 and everyone helps each other. The last 10 minutes was very difficult for us but you can see that everyone was together and that's why we won.
"It was a big win, a massive win and we are very happy. I hope the fans are very happy. The game is behind us and we have to be focused for the next two games before the World Cup and win them to be more confident for the season going into January."
