Now, call to restore trains between Coimbatore & Madurai gets louder

COIMBATORE: Railway enthusiasts have sought the Southern Railway to restore trains between the city and Madurai via Palani. Divisional Railway Users' Consultative Committee members K Jayaraj and S Shanmughasundaram met Madurai divisional railway manager P Anand on Friday to press this demand.

They sought restoration of Madurai-Coimbatore intercity express via Palani, overnight express train from Rameswaram to Coimbatore via Madurai and Palani, and the early morning passenger train service from Dindigul to Coimbatore via Palani.
