Notts County's FA Trophy fixture against Chorley has been postponed amid sub-zero weather conditions throughout the UK.
With temperatures having dipped below -6 degrees at Meadow Lane across two consecutive nights, significant concerns had been raised by both clubs and match officials after major frost emerged on the playing surfaces, despite it being covered up.
Such conditions are not expected to drastically change and, subsequently, a decision has been taken to play the fixture next Tuesday following a pitch inspection at 16:00 this afternoon.

An official club statement read: "In our attempts to get this weekend’s match on despite continued freezing conditions, groundstaff re-covered the pitch immediately after the conclusion of Tuesday night’s victory over Gateshead.
"Unfortunately, however, cold air trapped under the covers combined with extreme conditions throughout the week led the pitch to develop a heavy frost which will not thaw in time for the match to go ahead."
As per competition rules, County were left with no other option but to play the match in four days' time on December 20. This means that Tuesday's away National League fixture away at Barnet will now be rearranged in the new year, too.
Whilst a continually-differing schedule will, undoubtedly, frustrate supporters, some fans may greet such news warmly, with added recovery time being afforded to key duo Adam Chicksen and Macaulay Langstaff ahead of the next league fixture.
Tickets purchased for either Chorley or Barnet will be valid for the rearranged matches.
