Ruben Rodrigues scored a superb hat-trick for Notts County as they continued their promotion charge with a 3-0 win at Southend United.
The Portuguese forward scored the opener when he met Harry Arter's free-kick on the volley to beat Steve Arnold.
Vitezslav Jaros made an excellent save at the start of the second half to deny Shaun Hobson, before Rodrigues grabbed his second.
Kyle Wootton was the architect as he teed up the forward who swept in from 12 yards in what was a terrific finish.
Moments later, Jaros came to Notts' rescue when he thwarted Sam Dalby from the penalty spot after Callum Powell had been felled by Alex Lacey.
But Rodrigues snuffed out Southend's hopes of a comeback when after seeing a shot blocked, he lifted the rebound into the top corner.
The result meant Notts stretched their unbeaten run to four games in the National League where they remain sixth in the table.
Here's how the players rated at Roots Hall.
Vitezslav Jaros: Handling was excellent and made a good save at the start of the second half. The penalty save from Sam Dalby came at a key time too. 7
Jayden Richardson: There were a couple of occasions when his pace caused problems for the Southend defence but just couldn't find the final pass. 6
Connell Rawlinson: Won his defensive headers, took very little risks and showed good pace on occasion too. Had a fine game in the heart of the back three. 7
Alex Lacey: Like Rawlinson, defended with real authority against a powerful frontman in Sam Dalby. Was punished for a foul which led to Southend's penalty, but it was a small blot on an impressive copybook. 7
Adam Chicksen: Had a really good game on the left side of the three centre-backs. Retained a cool head and used his intelligence to keep Southend at bay. 8
Dion Kelly-Evans: Plenty of industry and while we didn't see much of him as an attacking threat, he was very solid when it came to defending his side of the pitch. 7
Matt Palmer: A dogged performance from the ex-Swindon Town man who ratted around the centre of midfield and was always applying pressure. 6
Harry Arter: Brilliant free-kick for the goal and it was delivered right onto the feet of Ruben Rodrigues who took care of the rest. Experience was crucial. 7
Frank Vincent: So much energy and was the man who was tasked with breaking from midfield to join the attack. Never lets you down in terms of his attitude but quality into the box was lacking. 6
Ruben Rodrigues: Head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. Great touches in tight positions and took his goals superbly. Worked hard off the ball too. Magnificent. 9
Kyle Wootton: Foraged around upfront but was up against two imposing centre-backs. Worked hard as always but linked up well with Rodrigues for the second goal. 6
