Luke Williams has insisted that the floodgates will soon open for Ruben Rodrigues following the Notts County man's second goal of the season at Woking last Saturday.
Speaking after the game last week, the 26-year-old admitted he had missed a couple of big opportunities for the Magpies in recent weeks, but explained he knew his role in the team and was happy to provide for striker and National League top scorer, Macaulay Langstaff.
Rodrigues has contributed to three goals this season, providing an assist on the opening day of the season against Maidenhead, and scoring two penalties, with the latest coming at the Laithwaite Community Stadium last weekend.

At this point in the season last campaign, the midfielder had six goals from 12 games before going on to net 19 in 42 appearances as the Magpies missed out on promotion to the EFL.
And whilst his output may be alarming to some, Williams insisted the floodgates will open for his midfielder whilst pinpointing what he is offering his side this season and the contributions he has made to get Notts top of the National League table.
"It's a very strange thing with Ruben because he has been around the goal and had so many good openings and creating so much, and for whatever reason won't go in from open play.
"I don't think anyone is too alarmed because of the amount of involvement he has in everything good we do and that is evident.
"I think the work he gets through for the team is by far the most important, because he shuts people down and recovers and will be deep in our half, he even made a block inside our own penalty box against Woking.
"That is the be all and end all for me, everything Ruben does after that we expect and is a bonus. But I am a strong believer in that Ruben will finish with a very good goal tally, I really do.
"I think the floodgates will potentially open at some point for Ruben, but at the moment he does not need to worry because his all-round game is fantastic."
It has been a fantastic start to the season for Williams at the Meadow Lane, but one of his star signings has also enjoyed his start to life in a Notts shirt.
It was announced yesterday that Macaulay Langstaff had become the first player to win back-to-back Player of the Month awards for the first time in National League history, scoring six goals in September and taking his tally to 15 after just 13 games.
Following the announcement, Williams revealed he was pleased for his number nine on his achievement but was quick to highlight the work he does beyond just finding the back of the net.
"I am so pleased for him and for the people that come here and watch all the games and the players in particular, I am sure they will all agree with me that Macca has scored goals and we are so impressed with his goal tally.
"But his work rate has been fantastic, it has been second to none.
"We appreciate the fans, and the players I am sure appreciate how hard he works for the team as well."
