Wetherspoon pubs will be staging their annual January sale with cut-price food and drink to provide some New Year cheer to drinkers. The sale will run from January 3 until January 17.
There will be discounts on a range of drinks. These include draught beers and ciders (Carlsberg, Bud Light, Guinness, Stowford Press Dark Berry Cider, Stowford Press Apple Cider, Ruddles Best and Worthington's) and spirits (Bell's whisky, Gordon's gin, Duppy White rum and AU vodka).
Soft drinks (Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max, R. Whites Lemonade, Pepsi Max Cherry), Lavazza coffee (with free refills), tea and hot chocolate are included in the sale. And low and alcohol-free drinks Beck's Blue, Adnams Ghost Ship, Brewdog Punk AF, Heineken 0.0, Kopperberg and Erdinger will also be cheaper than usual.

The announcement comes days after most of the pubs opened on Christmas Day. Pubs taking part include the Roebuck Inn in St James's Street, the Joseph Else in South Parade, Lloyds No. 1 Bar and the Gooseberry Bush in Peel Street. The Trent Bridge Inn, West Bridgford, the Samuel Hall in Sherwood, and the William Peverel in Main Street, Bulwell, will also be offering reduced prices.
The sale prices include a pint of Ruddles Best at 99p, a pint of Bud Light at £1.69, a pint of Stowford, Press Apple Cider at £1.69, Bell's whisky (25ml measure with mixer) at 99p, a bottle of Beck's Blue at 99p, a pint of Guinness at £2.89, Pepsi Max (14oz) at 99p and hot drinks with free refills 99p. Customers can also enjoy savings on food too, with offers on three breakfast items.
MOMA porridge will be £1.49, a breakfast muffin deal (with hot drink) £1.99 and a breakfast wrap deal £2.49. The selection of 3oz burgers and chips (with a soft drink ) will be slashed to £4.49. Small plates (including eight-inch pizzas, halloumi-style fries, chicken breast bites, bowl of chips, southern fried chicken strips and chicken wings), will be £12 for any three.
The Roebuck Inn manager, Alex Darby, said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too. The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed a suiting a wide variety of tastes.
"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks. I believe that the January sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
