Nottinghamshire mum's ongoing grief battle after death of son aged 3

A Nottinghamshire mum whose son had complex medical needs has spoken of her ongoing battle with grief after he died last year. Three-year-old Jaxon Robotham died on May 27, 2021, after suffering with conditions including one which affected blood flow to his heart.

His mum Kaytee Jones, from Arnold, is a qualified nurse and set up an online blog called 'The Nurse Mum' in 2017 through which she shared her son's story. Hundreds are now set to gather for a special charity event celebrating the life of Jaxon on what would have been his fifth birthday.

Kaytee Jones said: "Jaxon's birthday is one of the most challenging days of the year. Every day is challenging but knowing on a certain day I should have been celebrating another year of his life, watching him grow up and go through the stages and changes of childhood but not getting that, leaves it as a day to be dreaded.
