It's the biggest day in the fish and chip calendar tomorrow (Friday, June 2) and one Nottinghamshire chippy is pulling out all the stops to make sure it's a fun-filled day packed with bargains. National Fish & Chip Day is back for the eighth year, celebrating everything we love about one of Britain's favourite dishes.
Sea & Earth fish and chip shop in Woodthorpe is going the extra mile to make it a fun day for its customers. "We are organising a family fun day to celebrate National Fish and Chip Day and help our local communities with the cost of living crisis," said Andrew Constantinou, whose son Nik founded the business..
"We will have our car park area transformed into a fairground with giant Connect 4, hop scotch, hook a duck and ball in a bucket to entertain the family. We've got music and seating outside the shop as well. We have reached out to all our suppliers who have contributed supplies."

Thanks to the suppliers, it means the chip shop, in Mansfield Road, will be selling fish and chips or pie and chips at £1.99 and sausage or fishcake with chips at 99p. All the products will be available in vegan form as well. The fun will start at 12pm when the chippy opens, through to 5pm.
