A Chinese takeaway in Eastwood has been given a food hygiene rating of 1 by a food safety officer. China City on Nottingham Road was visited on December 15 last year, and the standards found there have been published by the Food Standards Agency.
Three areas are inspected, which are hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety. In terms of standards found, system or checks in place to ensure food served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future was rated 'major improvement necessary'.
