The man being charged with three murders in Nottingham is also known by a different name, a court hearing was told today (June 17). Valdo Calocane, 31, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court, where he revealed his alias.
Calocane gave his name in court as Adam Mendes, which his solicitor confirmed was a name Calocane was also known by. A bearded Calocane wore a grey T-shirt and bottoms, and spoke clearly when asked to confirm his details to the legal advisor, NottinghamshireLive reports.
Calocane, of no fixed address, is charged with three counts of murder, in connection with the deaths of University of Nottingham students Barnaby Philip John Webber and Grace Sashi O’Malley-Kumar, both aged 19, and of Ian Robert Coates, aged 65, who was the site manager at Nottingham's Huntingdon Academy, in St Ann's.
