Nottingham star sings up for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

A Nottingham star is reported to be among the line-up for the latest series of Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. Love Island and TOWIE stars are also reported to be among the line-up for the gruelling show which sees contestants pushed to their limits with brutal challenges as they are tested to their limits to pass the SAS selection.

They will be led by an elite team of ex-special forces operators from the UK and USA. Following Ant Middleton's departure a few years ago, former US Marine Rudy Reyes took over the role, teaming up with Jason Fox and Mark Billingham for the show.

Nottingham-born gymnast Ellie Downie is reported to be joining the line-up for the 2023 show along with a team of celebrities on this year's show, which is being filmed in New Zealand this year.

The Mirror reports comedian Tez Ilyas, Boris Johnson's sister Rachel Johnson, TV presenter Cherry Healy and former England rugby union captain Chris Robshaw, Anthony Ogogo, actress Shazia Mirza are also included within the line-up, according to The Sun.

TOWIE star Bobby Norris and Bianca Gascoigne are also rumoured to be joining the show. John Barrowman is also reported to be making a return to the limelight. TOWIE star Pete Wicks, who was forced to pull out of the Channel 4 series last year, is said to be "over the moon" to get a second chance at showing the tough trainers what he's made of.

Ellie announced in January that she had retired from the sport at the age of 23 to prioritise her “mental health and happiness”. The athlete said the decision came with “a heavy heart”. She made her retirement public on Twitter, posting: “With a heavy heart and an array of emotions today is the day I announce my retirement from gymnastics! “To say it’s been a massive decision is a massive understatement but after a really tough last few years I’ve made the decision to prioritise my mental health and happiness. Gymnastics has been my life for as long as I can remember and I am proud of everything I was fortunate enough to achieve in the sport.

“Competing and winning medals for Great Britain has meant everything and more to me and I’ll miss it enormously. It’s been a blast.”
