A Nottinghamshire pub has taken an unusual approach to keeping customers warm this winter by launching a unique dining experience. Ye Olde Bridge Inn in Oxton has installed three see-through cosy domes in the outdoor area of the venue.
The domes can seat up to eight people and are fully-heated while being lit by atmospheric fairy lights and LEDs. Customers will not have to leave the cosy domes as they will have a waiter on-call system hooked up.
Owner Hannah Lloyd said: "Last year, we had a children's event where we bought a twenty square foot dome and it was such a hit. We never advertised it but people booked it to dine in but it wasn't to this level. With it being four-and-a-half metres high, it was hard to heat so this year, we decided to invest as it was halfway through the winter season and bring in these domes."

She added: "The domes are staying with us until after the winter. At the moment, we have covered them in blankets and fur rugs and we've made pampas grass chandeliers for them so it's really festive."
The restaurant has just launched a new winter menu. This boasts dishes such as Chicken Yakitori skewers.
There are still plenty of classics on offer including stonebaked fresh pizzas, and burgers ranging from maple bacon to vegan served with salted fries. Not only that but there are a few sweet treats on the menu including a caramelised walnut and pistachio tart that sounds too good to be passed up.
The pods cost £45 to rent and can be booked through the company website. Although if you miss the chance to experience the domes, don't panic as the award-winning pub is planning plenty of events including picnics and pizza packages for the warmer months.
Hannah said: "Come springtime, we will be putting them in a field so we can do starlight pizza nights. We will convert the domes so we can do pizza and wine deals.
"I don't like the term cost of living but with it being so prevailing in everyone's lives - we want to do pizza and wine where you can sit up there with your own music, fairy lights and the stars. It's a really good alternative where people can have value for money but they get the experience to dine out."
